Torrey's works explore the abstract definition of the term control. A variety of social, cultural, popular, and medical references are used in her works to help visually define her beliefs and disbeliefs.

Since 2005, Torrey has worked as a full time arts educator in a local museum. While teaching children and designing/facilitating adult classes, Torrey has built up the momentum to re-focus on studio work. New works are in progress and will be updated on this site upon the completion of a newly renovated studio space in 2010.
